Dr. Willy Kakuru works for the Ministry of Water and Environment as a National Programme Coordinator for Green Climate Fund (GCF) support to the Government of Uganda for wetlands and catchment restoration. He has previously worked for Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO); International Development Research Centre (IDRC); International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Government of Uganda.
He is a Member of the Kihanga Senior Secondary School Board of Governors and he is a Diocese of Kigezi SYNOD Member, representing Kihanga Parish.
